Public talks at NLB Harbourfront and Punggol

Combining personal objectives with performance opportunities for my students

I firmly believe in making the most of every opportunity. Following my public talk at NLB Woodlands earlier this year, I realised that national libraries were an excellent venue for students to perform.

First and foremost, they can include NLB in their performance portfolio.

Secondly, it is a public performance, as it is not only for their parents to watch.

Thirdly, I don't need much time to prepare them. We worked on the songs across their classes, and it only took one group session (approximately 2.5 hours) to work on ensemble cohesiveness.

Finally, I get to do community service in a recognised institution.

It's a Win-Win-Win-Win situation for NLB, the general public, my students, and myself.

Happy holidays to everyone!
